What to expect on installation day

From site prep to switch-on — a plain-English walkthrough of what actually happens.

By the time an installation is scheduled, the design has already been settled — it comes out of your site visit and your signed quote, not decided on the day. Installation day is about executing that plan properly, not making it up as we go.

On the day

A typical installation moves through the same broad stages: safety setup and site preparation, mounting the racking on your roof or ground structure, running the panels and cabling, installing the inverter and battery — usually in a garage, utility room or a purpose-built enclosure — and wiring everything into your distribution board.

Testing and commissioning

Once everything's connected, the system gets tested and commissioned before anyone signs off on it — checking the inverter is actually producing, the battery is charging correctly, and nothing's misconfigured. Every installation, residential or commercial, is wired to the same safety standard without exception.

Before we leave

You're issued a Certificate of Compliance — the legal sign-off confirming the electrical work is safe and up to standard, on every installation we complete — and someone walks you through exactly how your system works, so nothing's left for you to figure out on your own.

How long it takes

Bigger and more complex installations — commercial sites, multi-phase projects, ground-mounted arrays — take longer than a standard residential hybrid system. Your quote will give you a realistic timeframe for your specific property, rather than a generic estimate.
